Course Description

One of the classic tasks of the shaman is to journey into nonordinary reality in order to obtain answers to questions, both at the request of others and for oneself. Participants in the workshop have the opportunity to engage in divination journeys for each other as well as for themselves and to gain experience in using various time-tested shamanic divination techniques. In the shamanic search to become persons of knowledge, they learn, as shamans have from time immemorial, how to converse with plant as well as animal species, how to learn about the use of quartz crystals, and how to seek and receive revelatory knowledge from visionary sources.

Portland

Portland is known as the Rose City. Portland is closely tied to the water. The Willamette River runs through its center, while the enormous Columbia River flows along its northern edge, dividing Oregon and Washington. Within a short drive from downtown you can be hiking or wind-surfing in the Columbia Gorge, playing in the sand on the Oregon coast, staring at the crater of Mt. St. Helens or hiking the trails on Mount Hood. Portland is known for its its plethora of top-notch restaurants and is also famous for its coffee and huge Powell’s bookstores.

Our retreat center for this workshop will be at the beautiful Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront hotel.

Coffee and tea service will be provided on our morning and afternoon breaks.

*Prerequisite
The Foundation For Shamanic Studies – Michael Harner’s Way of the Shaman®: The Shamanic Journey, Power and Healing. This basic workshop can be taken with Beth Beurkens at these locations.

Registration

$290 per person for early registration – up to one month prior to start of workshop. Sign-ups after 30 days before event will be $315.
